Dr. Michael Fuller began dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco, California, in 1975. Upon graduation, in 1978, he entered the Air Force Dental Service and served in active duty until 1986. He remained serving as a dentist in the Air Force Reserve until reaching retirement as a Lt. Colonel in 1996.
In addition to being licensed in Alaska, he has a license to practice dentistry in Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and California.
Dr. Fuller moved to Eagle River with the Air Force in 1982. Upon separation from active military service, he began a private general dental practice locally in 1986. He practiced in Eagle River until he sold his practice in 2005. In addition to practicing part time at South Central Foundation, he was an associate dentist at the practice of C. Michael Sage in Anchorage for three years.
Dr. Fuller is currently an adjunct staff member of the University of Alaska Anchorage's dental assisting program. He has been a member of the American Dental Society since 1986. He attended and graduated from the L.D. Pankey Institute continuum studies from 1989 until 1995 and has been a member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry since 1999. He has also served on the Anchorage Dental Society Peer Review Committee since 1991; reviewing, mediating and arbitrating cases brought before the committee.
Dr. Fuller has been married to his wife, Barb, for twenty-eight years. They have two daughters, Kelsey, who is 24 and Jamie, who is 21. Both girls are attending college at this time.
